Sign up 7th Grade students for a 2 hour shift at or before Town Fair (Goes Live at 7pm)
As specified in the St. Matthew's School Parent Handbook each family is required to volunteer 6 hours at Town Fair. This is great news because this is where the magic happens: the community unites, parents form new friendships across the grade levels, and kids see their parents as fellow servant leaders.
What is required?
  • 2 shifts of 3 hours for each family (10:00 am-1:00 pm) (1:00 pm-4:00 pm) Parents can divide it between them or one parent can carry the volunteer torch for the team!
  • 7th grade students must work 2 hours in addition to 6 hours for parents.  Please contact Tara Wuchenich if 7th grader has conflict that day.
Expectations
  • Show up in person: No nanny, housekeeper, older child, or sibling can work in your stead.
  • Show up on time: Be respectful of your peer parents.  Don't dampen someone's day by making them work overtime or double-time because you are late.
  • Arrange for childcare: We ALL have kids who want our attention and care. Please arrange for someone to care for your kids during your shift. Pre-School parents, you can not work your shift with kids at your heels. Make a plan for child care now. Even if your parenting partner is not available to help with the work shift or the kids, you still must make a child care plan.
